Michiana Endoscopy Center accepts most major insurances. As a courtesy to you, we will bill your insurance carrier for you; however, we cannot tell you what your policy will cover. Since your insurance policy and coverage is between you and your carrier, we urge you to contact them prior to your procedure.
You will be responsible for any co-pays at the time of service. Someone from the center will call you before your procedure with an estimate of what you will need to pay on the day of your appointment. If you are unable to pay your portion on the date of service, you must make prior arrangements with the Business Office by calling (574) 217-0174.
Michana Endoscopy Center accepts cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We can offer short-term payment plans if necessary, and we expect patients to meet payment obligations as outlined. We also offer the option to pay bills online. Pay online using our secure server here.
Our accepted insurances include:
If your insurance is not listed or if you do not have insurance, we will be happy to discuss payment arrangements. As an important note, out of pocket costs at ambulatory surgery centers such as ours are usually lower than having the procedure done at a hospital.
Because you are responsible for costs for covered healthcare services until you reach your deductible, you should comparison shop if you elect to have a nonemergency procedure.
You can use tools like Healthcare Bluebook and the Medicare Procedure Price Lookup (for Medicare patients). Many health insurance websites also provide information on where to find in-network services.
Most insurances will cover the cost of the procedure, less any co-pays or co-insurance that may apply. Each insurance plan is different, so be sure to check with your provider in advance.
Your procedure will result in separate charges that include:
Our Medicare patients will be responsible for a 20 percent co-insurance on the Medicare-approved amount for the services.
